Ron Egatz is an award-winning poet, a fiction writer, and jump blues guitarist. He sometimes teaches writing privately, doctors song lyrics, and is preparing a memoir of his writing mentorship and biography of Thomas Lux. Author of Beneath Stars Long Extinct, Egatz lives in a Hudson River Valley loft co-op for artists where he dreams of emigrating.
James McWilliams is a former winner of the Hiett Prize in the Humanities. He has written on a wide range of topics both academically and journalistically, with work appearing in the Virginia Quarterly Review, Oxford American, New York Times Book Review, Harper’s and elsewhere. He teaches history at Texas State University.
